The Global 24 hour Moratorium on the Combustion of Fossil Fuels
Stop the Big Burn!
In 2013, for the sixth year running, people are declaring a holiday from fossil fuel energy on September 21. The theme for 2013 is “Potluck your Park.” ZeDay falls on a Saturday in '13 and World Car Free Day on Sunday so everyone *really* can take the weekend off. This promises to be the most amazing Zero Emissions Day ever!
ZeDay Guidelines are simple:
1. Don’t use or burn oil or gas or coal.
2. Minimize (or eliminate) your use of electricity generated by fossil fuels.
3. Don’t put anyone in harm’s way: All essential and emergency services operate normally.
4. Do your best, have fun, enjoy the day!
Our world is counting on us!
It's up to each of us to take care of our planet at this point. When your driving something this big you have to stop every now and then — reflect on what's working and what's not working — and set a new course for where you really want to be. Zero Emissions Day provides just that opportunity to benefit everything and everyone on our planet.
